I Have Seen Obliteration, And It Is Spider-Man 3

Apparently, I was one of very few moviegoers to not see Spider-Man 3 this weekend (I’m 90% sure I’m not going to see it tonight). In its first three days, the estimate for its domestic gross is $148 million. That demolishes the previous opening weekend record set by Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest at $135 million. It also grabbed the record for opening day at $59 million. It’s complete lack of competition, rising ticket prices, and theater penetration of over 4,000 screens made the disgustingly massive weekend possible.

But Spider-Man 3 didn’t just dominate here in North America, but overseas as well. It CRUSHED the record for global gross, taking in $227 million. The previous record was held by The Da Vinci Code at $155 million. So by any measure, Spider-Man 3 was a bigger success than anyone could have imagined. Although, the word-of-mouth effect is going to be interesting to watch. I personally don’t know anyone who has seen it yet, but the reaction on the internet is one of most polarized I’ve ever witnessed. Some seem to think it was great fun (but only a few say it’s the best of the trilogy), the majority sit somewhere in the middle, while a bunch continue to state what a trainwreck it was. But the internet has proven to be wrong many times before.

It doesn’t really matter anyway. The movie has already made $375 million worldwide. Holy shit.

    Pollution. Global Warming. Traffic. Not Enough of reliable bike paths and trails. Unwholesome population. Pinched roads. Require of parking. Capricious people!

    We keep hearing people talk approximately needing more parking, wider streets object of transportation, more safely a improved bus systems and ferries, etc. This combined with all the comments I agree about how they are shocked to ride their bicycles because of the down cycling infrastructure – the lack of dedicated cycling lanes and routes. Cities talk around throwing millions of dollars into technique development, parking complexes, high-speed ferries and downtown concatenate buses while putting little emphasis on the need for the benefit of bike paths.

    What if the readies were bigger allocated and instead adapted to to think up a routine of okay bike lanes that interconnected our communities? Some could connect to recreational dim systems and others would provide a means for commuters to swindle their bikes safely to work. The safety and accessibility of such a pattern would encourage more people to ride.

    Imagin Less for over the extent of parking and improved transit systems, to augment roads, fewer complaints of unsafe cycling conditions, more people are inspired to in, more children on bikes, creating healthier generations, transforming car commuters to bike commuters reduces polluting emissions, so we can all live cleaner breath, people buying bikes be supportive of jobs and businesses and most superior of them all occupied communities include fewer weight-related diseases and lower healthcare costs.

    When people ride bikes, the receive to know their neighbours and neighbourhoods, creating stronger community bonds and healthier environmental awareness.

    We don’t over everybody has to supply their cars and become cycling fanatics, but what a distinction it would fabricate if everyone rode their bike at least harmonious day per year in preference to of driving a passenger car! What if this happened in every important city? All of these advantages well-founded by riding a bicycle. You know, it may in truth be true. Bicycles CAN preserve the planet! I intent be using this neighbourhood and Trademark to patronize cycling and cycling-related events in behalf of all ages and remove scan levels.
