Xbox Live Arcade is INSANE
A bunch of apparently awesome games were just announced for XBLA.
Rez, Every Extend Extra Extreme, and Ikaruga. The only one of those three I’ve played is Ikaruga on Gamecube. And it is awesome. I’m thinking of selling it while it still is worth something, as it’s going for about $40 on eBay at the moment and that’s only going to plummet once news of this reaches the masses. I’m going to get it on XBLA just because of leaderboards. That type of game is MEANT to have leaderboards. If you don’t know the greatness of Ikaruga, all you need to do is read this review by Maddox.
They’re all pretty “hardcore gamer” games, especially Rez. All you have to do is look at a screenshot:
I’ve never even played it, and I have no fucking clue what’s going on there, but between it being re-released in HD and all the gushing I’ve seen over it at GAF, I’m probably going to end up buying it. I’ll download the demo first, of course. Same thing goes for EEEE. GAF has most definitely been wrong before.
Man, I love my 360 more with each passing day.
