PS3 Loses Another Exclusive: DMC4

Every sane gamer knew this day was coming. Xbox 360 has been slowly gaining steam among Japanese developers, but especially with Capcom. It was only a matter of time before Devil May Cry 4 was announced for Xbox 360. The surprise comes in one word from the Capcom press release:

“Devil May Cry 4″ will be released simultaneously for the PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360â„¢ platforms.

Sony has to be feeling that punch to the gut right now. They better start throwing money at Konami to keep Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3-exclusive, but even then – the best they can hope for is a timed exclusive. If it weren’t for the fact that the PS2 is an absolute beast that is still outselling the X360 in North America, Sony would be hitting the panic button.

As for Microsoft, well… it’s really getting harder and harder for me to not buy a Xbox 360 at this point. The only reasons not to buy one are a price drop that has been rumored to be coming for a while and the percentage of X360s that die. Luckily, I have no money, so there really isn’t a choice.
