		<description>I&#039;ve said exactly the same thing before and I swear I did not read James&#039; thoughts on that phenomenon. My theory with this Mets team in particular is that the team has been so top-heavy that it lives and dies with its stars (Wright/Reyes/Beltran), which magnifies every disappointment with regards to them. Instead of blaming the pitiful supporting cast around them, people are quicker to blame the guys who are supposed to &quot;lead&quot; the team to victory.</description>

		<description>Bill James once wrote that bad baseball teams always take it out on their best players.  I think it helps explain Wright - you always hear about a player who tries to do too much, but never about a team (and a fanbase) who asks too much.  I felt the same way about Danny Tartabull back in 1987.  

Now I just realized that was 24 years ago and it&#039;s depressing me.</description>
