Nope, I appreciate serious comments.

1) You’re right on that, because I’ve once or twice seen an ad load and immediately disappear. But pages still load at least as quickly as in Firefox for me.
2) I just opened up Firefox to compare and you’re definitely right. Chrome is definitely slower — and occasionally for me it just plain doesn’t pop up.
3) I don’t think so, but all I did was a quick google search.

I’ve been out of the country for a few months so I’ve been using a netbook. On the netbook, I’ve been using Google Chrome. And my story is like yours- I don’t think I could go back to Firefox.

But I have two reservations about sticking with Chrome:
1) I’m told that unlike Firefox, AdBlock on Chrome doesn’t keep the ads from actually loading, it just keeps it from displaying. So maybe this affects page load times?
2) Chrome’s auto search seems so much more sluggish and ineffective than Firefox’s awesome bar
3) Is there a java script blocker for Chrome? I use it alot in Firefox

I feel like a total doucher for writing a serious comment by the way
