Man, GAF is on top of everything. I was actually able to post a Digg story about this before anyone else (too bad no one will digg it). I guess it helps that an assistant editor of the site posts on the forum.

I’m not a huge fan of Pitchfork, as they seem to be indie snobs most of the time, but this channel definitely has potential. Especially since you won’t have to deal with their reviews. Actually showing music performances and videos! MTV forgot about that years ago. 24-hour music channels were a thing of the past.

I recommend the Liars videos, but especially the first one, “Plaster Casts of Everything.” I had never heard them before now. It’s not even the type of music I would expect to enjoy, but for some reason I can’t stop listening. Of course, there’s other cool stuff, like a Radiohead performance, and a full Pixies documentary.

I can’t wait to see what type of stuff they have lined up for this. I may not like Pitchfork all that much, but I do find out about some good music through them, and watching and listening to bands is much better than reading reviews, as the Liars videos prove.
